In July, Russians spent almost three times more on hotels than in June, according to a study by the operator of fiscal data, Platform OFD.
Experts analyzed July hotel spending figures, including bookings, lodging and additional services, and then compared the results with data for June and the same period last year.
Thus, the average check for purchases in hotels, including prepayment, in July amounted to 3728 rubles, which is 60% higher than in June. However, compared to the previous year, it has decreased by 5%.

Most Russians spent on hotels in the Krasnodar Territory, Sevastopol and Crimea, as well as in St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Moscow Region, Tatarstan. These regions together accounted for half of the volume of purchases in the hotel business in July.
On August 6, it became known that in a number of Russian regions, prices for travel services increased by 25%.
Most of all, prices increased in the Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad and Kaluga regions. At the same time, some constituent entities noted that they retained last year’s prices, for example, in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories.
