In 2020, the Russian Federation supplied 196.9 million barrels to the States, this year this volume may increase by 10 million barrels, Anna Bodrova, senior analyst at IAC Alpari, told Izvestia.

– Last year, Russian exporters sold oil and petroleum products to the United States for about $ 8-8.5 billion. This year this figure may exceed the level of $ 9 billion. This is a cautious forecast, since the price of oil is showing steady growth. According to the results of a cold February, it has risen in price by almost 17%, – the expert noted.

At the end of the second half of 2020, Russia, along with Canada and Mexico, entered the top 3 oil exporters to the United States, ahead of Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf countries. The United States is a major oil importer; today the country produces about 11 million barrels per day, and consumes almost 20.

The other day, ex-President Donald Trump at a conference of US conservative circles in Orlando (Florida) made an assertion that under Joe Biden, the United States would depend on Russian and Middle Eastern oil.
