Football club “Rostov” beat Volgograd “Rotor” in the match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The meeting between the clubs on March 17 ended with a score of 4: 0 in favor of the guests.

With the victory “Rostov” interrupted a four-league losing streak in the Russian championship. Before that, the club’s players had lost twice and drew twice.

Goals in the match were scored by Armin Gigovich, Pontus Almqvist, Ali Sow and Alexander Seplinov.

Rotor’s only goal was canceled after using the VAR system. The judges recorded an offside position for the player of the Volgograd team.

A day earlier, it was reported that the Russian Football Union (RFU) fined the football clubs Dynamo and Spartak following the results of the in-person match of the 22nd round of Tinkoff – Russian Premier League (RPL). It is noted that Dynamo was fined 130 thousand rubles, and Spartak – 375 thousand rubles.

Clubs were fined for violating sanitary regulations by spectators and chanting offensive language. Spartak fans also used pyrotechnics and committed illegal actions.
