The Center for the Study of Consumer Behavior of Roskachestvo conducted an online survey and found out what consumers are most often guided by when choosing a wine. The study involved 1200 people over 18 who purchase wine at least once a month.
The majority of the respondents described the choice of wine as a thorough business and not tolerating fuss. Two-thirds of the respondents (64%) plan to buy wine in advance during the main purchase of food in the store or specially go to stores. 36% of respondents make spontaneous purchases.
When choosing a wine, respondents are more likely to be guided by their own experience and make their own purchase decisions. At the same time, 57% are well aware of several brands of wine or sparkling wine and buy them.
“First of all, more than half of the consumer audience pays attention to whether the wine belongs to the category of dry, semi-sweet or sweet. A wine brand is named as an important criterion for selection by 21% of respondents. Price (14%) is an equally important selection criterion, ”the statement of Roskachestvo says.
When choosing wines, half of the respondents also take into account the advice of friends and another third use information from thematic sites, another 16% rely on ratings in mobile applications.
Earlier Friday, it was reported that problems with skin, nails and hair could result from excessive drinking. Experts believe that alcohol abuse dehydrates not only the skin, but also the nails. They become brittle and prone to flaking, and because alcohol dilates blood vessels, the skin can turn red.
