On April 29, the regional Rosselkhoznadzor said that two residents of the Tver region set up a “zoo” in their wooden house and sent an application from the individual entrepreneur Medici M.A. about registration in the FSIS VETIS and providing access to the FSIS “Mercury” to the employees of the individual entrepreneur with the indication of OKVED 91.04 – “Activities of botanical gardens, zoos, state nature reserves and national parks.”
The employees of the department went to the place. It turned out that the “zoo” located at the indicated address is a wooden house, in the part with boarded up windows and bars, two large lions (a male and a female) live on them. The arrival of a lion cub from Dagestan was expected. In one part, the owners themselves live, in the other – the lions. Naturally, there was no contract for veterinary service, no observation logs were kept, the cleaning of the “zoo room” was also not carried out.
– There is no contract for veterinary services. There is also no plan for anti-epizootic measures for 2021, no logs for monitoring animals and cleaning premises are kept. Lions were last vaccinated against rabies in 2018. The territory of the household is not fenced, there are no animal enclosures, the animals are not walked, – the Rosselkhoznadzor reported.
All these violations led to the fact that a letter was sent to Rosprirodnadzor to take action. The sites of IE Medici MA are excluded from the Cerberus register, they are given the status of “phantom”.
