The Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow sentenced rapper Elmin Guliyev, who became the culprit of an accident in the capital, to 4 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony. On Thursday, April 15, the press service of the court reported.
An accident involving the artist, better known as Elley, happened in September last year. Mercedes and Infiniti cars collided at the intersection of Ostozhenka Street and Pomerantseva Lane. As a result, Infiniti was thrown onto the sidewalk, a foreign car hit pedestrians. Four people were injured.
It was noted that Guliyev drove at a red traffic light at an increased speed. First, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the rules of the road or the operation of vehicles, resulting in the infliction of serious harm to human health by negligence”). Later, the accusation was reclassified to paragraph “a” of part 2 of the same article, since drugs were found in the rapper’s blood.
In October, the performer apologized for the accident, asked him to give him another chance and expressed his readiness to provide assistance to the victims.
In April 2021, the victims in the accident filed a claim against the executor for 1.5 million rubles. The defendant, as noted, did not argue with the claims of the victims.
