Vladimir Putin signed a law that abolishes the day of silence before many days of voting in the elections. Now the campaign should end exactly at 00 o’clock on the first day of the expression of will. The document has already been published on the official portal of legal information.

The same law introduces a new procedure for appealing against the actions of election commissions. Thus, a candidate who was denied registration can file a lawsuit within five days after the decision by the higher election commission. Previously, this period was counted from the adoption of the initial decision and many candidates simply did not have time to challenge the actions of the election commissions in court.

And one more innovation. Now it will be impossible to cancel the decision of the election commission on registration of candidates through the court, if violations are revealed. Unless the electoral commission has previously indicated to the candidates errors in the documents.
