The head of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy, Alexei Pushkov, praised the statement by the head of the US State Department’s press service, Ned Price, that Washington is counting on predictable relations with Moscow, despite the disagreements.
“The United States wants us to return the ambassador and agree to the initiatives of their president, and they will constantly threaten us and expand sanctions – that’s what they want. Everything else is the singing of State Department sirens aimed at achieving one goal – to dictate the terms of relations to us,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, most likely, will not return to Washington in the near future.
