The head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, believes that a constructive dialogue with Russia, which violates international law both on its territory and abroad, is impossible. On this basis, he calls on the authorities of Germany and the European Union to abandon the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project.
“We cannot threaten Moscow with our fingers from afar and then get involved in the Nord Stream 2 project with Gazprom,” Moravetsky said in a commentary posted on the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung website.
According to him, the attempt to poison the leader of the opposition forces, Alexei Navalny, two days before the planned talks on relations between the EU and Russia, is a challenge for the entire democratic community, so the Nord Stream 2 project “should be archived.”
