Dmitry Peskov, in a conversation with reporters, admitted that there is no rush in Russia for vaccination. The shortage of vaccines in the regions, according to him, has not actually been recorded, due to the expansion of production, rhythmic supplies are being carried out.

“The interest of the population in the vaccine, the understanding of the advisability of vaccination is growing gradually, but it is growing,” said the presidential press secretary. “We have a different dynamic, (the number of people vaccinated) is not growing abruptly, but gradually. This is our feature, ”he added.

At the same time, according to the Kremlin spokesman, Russia has another feature, namely a high level of “natural immunization”, especially in large cities. This immunization, Peskov explained, was achieved thanks to the filigree measures that were taken by the authorities.

“Therefore, now we are in a better situation than many countries,” he stressed.

According to open data, about 5-7% of the population in Russia received the vaccine, which is significantly lower than the level of vaccination in many countries, in particular, the United States, Germany and Israel.
