The detained head of the Team 29 project Ivan Pavlov, the lawyer of the ex-adviser to the head of Roscosmos Ivan Safronov, who was arrested in the case of treason, is charged with disclosing the data of the preliminary investigation. This was reported on April 30 by the press service of Team 29.

It is noted that we are talking about Art. 310 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Disclosure of data from the preliminary investigation”).

On this charge, the detainee faces a fine of up to 80 thousand rubles, or compulsory labor for up to 480 hours, or correctional labor for up to two years.

The fact that the lawyer was detained in a hotel room became known earlier that day. Currently, investigative actions are being carried out with him in the framework of a criminal case. There was no official comment from law enforcement agencies.

Former correspondent, adviser to the head of Roscosmos, Ivan Safronov, was detained on July 7, 2020 in Moscow. The FSB opened a criminal case against him under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“High treason”). Safronov did not admit his guilt and refused to deal with the investigation.

Safronov’s defense stated that investigators suspect him of working for the Czech special services since 2012 and of transmitting military-technical information on arms deliveries to African countries for mercenary purposes, the final recipients of which were the United States. As Russian President Vladimir Putin reminded on December 10, the case against Safronov was initiated not for his journalistic activities, but for the information transmitted while working at Roscosmos.

On March 18, the Moscow City Court recognized the decision of the first instance court to extend Safronov’s arrest until May 7, 2021 as legal.
