The mayor of Novokuznetsk, Sergey Kuznetsov, in his Instagram talked about the number of flowers that will decorate the city’s parks and squares, flower beds near monuments, roundabouts and alleys. One million and two hundred thousand beautiful plants will be planted in Novokuznetsk.
Most of them are marigolds, petunias, cineraria and cannes. Novokuznetsk residents will see the first flowers on May 9. It is known that more than 20,000 plants will be planted in the Boulevard on the day of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. And in Gagarin’s park the number 300 will be laid out of flowers.
“In total, more than 20 thousand flowers will decorate the Boulevard for this great holiday. On one of the flower beds, gardeners will draw three stars with red salvia. You can also add now, in the Gagarin park – the number 300 will be laid out in flowers, to the 300th anniversary of Kuzbass. We will not reveal all the surprises and will have a little patience, ”said Sergei Kuznetsov.
It is also known that the mass planting of flowers will begin at the end of May and will last about a month.
Earlier, serious floods came to Novokuznetsk. Some streets of the city were flooded, and local residents had to arm themselves with oars and boats.
