The pace of lifting restrictions imposed against the background of the coronavirus will be lifted depending on the responsibility of the population. This was announced on Monday, January 25, by State Duma deputy, former chief sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko.

According to him, currently there is a vaccine, and the introduction of the drug to more citizens will allow them to abandon the restrictions. So, in Moscow, 220 thousand people were vaccinated, so there is no point in restricting their movement, from Onishchenko’s point of view.

“These people no longer need to be so strictly limited in terms of attending cultural events. If these are young people, it is quite possible for them to walk without masks. For older people, there may still be doubts as to whether immunity has developed properly, ”the specialist noted on the air of the NSN.

Nevertheless, the authorities, Onishchenko added, should trust citizens, for example, to allow catering establishments to provide services after 23:00.

However, young people who actively visit crowded places can infect large numbers of people.

“Otherwise, everything can be allowed! In general, you need to trust people more, ”the deputy concluded.

Earlier on the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin, assessing the situation with COVID-19 in the Russian Federation, stressed that the situation is stabilizing, and therefore it became possible to carefully remove the previously imposed restrictions. As the head of state recalled, the number of infected people is decreasing, it has already become less than 20 thousand registered per day.

In turn, Doctor of Medical Sciences, infectious disease doctor Nikolai Malyshev suggested that it would be possible to remove a significant part of the restrictions introduced in Russia against the background of the spread of coronavirus by the beginning of the second half of the year or by the beginning of summer.
