In the Rostov region, the coronavirus claimed the lives of 21 more people. During the day from April 17 to 18, seven men aged 63 to 92 years old and 14 women from 63 to 88 years old were gone. In total, 3,905 Donetsk residents died during the pandemic. According to the regional government, all the deceased suffered from chronic diseases, which were aggravated by COVID-19.
Over the past day, 240 people became patients with coronavirus, and the total number since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 85,158 people. As a rule, the majority of the disease is mild. However, it is more difficult for people of retirement age to overcome infection. It is associated with a weakened immune system and chronic illness.
