On the night of January 12, exploration and drilling work was carried out in the Uglegorsk region of Sakhalin at the Nikolsky coal mine. As a result, methane gas was released and the rig caught fire.
The incident “MK on Sakhalin” was reported in the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. It is known that there is no threat of fire spreading at the moment. Methane comes to the surface and burns, the torch height is no more than 2 meters. Rescuers set up a fire brigade from the village of Krasnopolya, consisting of two people.
The second fire occurred in SNT Shakhtar, which is located on Bolshevik Mountain in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. By the time the firemen arrived, 6 square meters of floor were burning in the house. 14 people took part in eliminating the fire. The reasons will be established after the house is completely extinguished.
