Former US President Barack Obama on Friday sent his “best wishes” for recovery to his successor Donald Trump after his positive diagnosis with COVID-19, while highlighting the “great political fight” between Republicans and Democrats for the presidential election November 3.

“Although we are in the midst of a great political fight, and we take it very seriously, we also want to send our best wishes to the President of the United States (and to) the First Lady,” said Barack Obama, in also speaking on behalf of his wife Michelle.
