More than 90 thousand patients with a new coronavirus infection are in Russian medical institutions, said on Sunday, September 13, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko in an interview with the Vesti Nedeli program on the Russia 1 TV channel.
The minister recalled that the eighth version of guidelines for the treatment of patients with coronavirus has already been developed specifically for doctors. According to him, the most important thing for preventing serious consequences is a timely visit to a doctor and the tactics of managing a patient at the outpatient stage.
“And, of course, special attention is paid to especially vulnerable patients – these are patients with endocrine diseases, arterial hypertension, overweight,” he added.
Earlier, on September 13, Rospotrebnadzor reported that more than 40.6 million tests were carried out in Russia to detect coronavirus infection. Over the past day, 355 thousand tests were carried out. The department added that 217 thousand people are under medical supervision due to suspicion of COVID-19 in the Russian Federation.
In Russia, according to the federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, 1,062,811 cases of coronavirus infection were registered, 876,225 people recovered, 18,578 died.
