The Moscow Department of Transport will auction 16 metro symbols in the form of the letter “M”. This is stated in a message published on December 25 in the Telegram channel of the capital’s department of transport.
The auction will take place on December 28 in the building of the Northern River Station. The starting price of lots is 10 thousand rubles.
“Yes, these are the brightest metro symbols familiar to everyone from childhood. They have served the city since 1985 and for many years have correctly pointed the way to the subway for millions of residents. Now we are bringing all the metro navigation to a new standard, and the old ones have worn out, so we are gradually replacing them, and one of the 16 already removed letters “M” can settle in your home, “the message says.
Earlier on Friday, it was reported that Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin launched a traditional New Year’s transport in the capital, which departed from the Northern River Station.
According to the mayor, transport is working as usual, despite the spread of the coronavirus. Sobyanin recalled that the authorities did not close the metro and did not reduce the number of buses. In addition, specialists continued to open new lines and routes and upgrade transport infrastructure.
