Over the past day, 8,326 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Russia, according to the operational headquarters for combating COVID-19 on Wednesday, April 14.
In addition, 399 infected patients died over the past day, 9 447 people recovered.
The largest number of cases was recorded in Moscow (1,837), St. Petersburg (712) and the Moscow region (568).
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 4,666,209 cases of COVID-19 have been identified, 4,291,223 patients have recovered, and 104,000 have died.
Earlier, on April 13, it became known that Moscow residents will be able to get vaccinated against coronavirus at home. To vaccinate the townspeople, 66 medical teams were formed in all administrative districts of the city.
First of all, such vaccination is provided for citizens receiving social services at home and experiencing difficulties in independent movement.
On April 7, the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin, summing up the year since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, said that more than 1 million people have already been vaccinated from COVID-19 in Moscow.
Large-scale vaccination of the population against COVID-19 in Russia began on January 18. Anyone can get vaccinated for free. Three vaccines are registered and approved for use in the country: “Sputnik V” – the world’s first vaccine against coronavirus, “EpiVacCorona” and “CoviVac”.
