The number of deaths increased by more than 13.6 thousand, thus exceeding 2.11 million.
The largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in North and South America (323,950), in second place is Europe (166,047), in third place is South-East Asia (29,198).
In total, the WHO recorded information about 97 464 094 cases of COVID-19.
On January 24, it was reported that 21,127 cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia over the past day. Over the past 24 hours, 491 deaths were recorded, 22 445 people fully recovered.
The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic was 3,719,400. 3,131,760 people recovered, 69,462 patients died.
The day before, Rospotrebnadzor reported a record low number of newly registered cases of this virus – 20,921 – since November 11, when 19,851 patients were detected per day.
