Over 46 million tests for detecting coronavirus infection have been carried out in Russia. This was announced on Wednesday, September 30, by the Rospotrebnadzor press service.
“More than 46 million tests for coronavirus have been carried out in the Russian Federation. 219,714 people remain under medical supervision, ”the ministry said in a statement.
The press service clarified that over the past day in Russia, 338 thousand tests for coronavirus were carried out.
On the eve of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova said that at the moment there are opportunities in the country to increase the production of test systems to detect coronavirus infection.
Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the country’s healthcare system is ready to effectively fight the coronavirus and the seasonal surge in colds, Gazeta.ru writes.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova announced on September 21 that since February her department has donated test systems for detecting coronavirus to almost 40 countries.
