About 350 people were detained at May Day demonstrations in Berlin, which later escalated into riots. This was announced on Sunday, May 2, by the RBB TV channel.
It is noted that after the May Day demonstrations in the German capital, in which from 8 to 10 thousand people took part, clashes broke out. About 30 police officers were injured, about 350 people were detained.
The demonstrators, according to journalists, threw stones at the police, pyrotechnics and bottles. In response, the guards used pepper spray.
It is clarified that the peaceful march lasted a little over an hour, then the radicals piled wooden pallets and electric scooters into a heap and set them on fire. The incident was accompanied by clashes between civilians and the police. Towards midnight, the situation returned to normal.
Earlier that day, it became known that during the riots in Brussels, which turned into a protest against quarantine measures on Saturday, about 30 people were injured. According to law enforcement agencies, in the demonstration, which was banned by the authorities and took place in the park Bois de la Cambre, 15 participants of the march were injured, 10 people were slightly injured. In addition, three law enforcement officers were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
