The dairy complex and three calf houses will be commissioned in the Buturlinsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2021. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
The program “Development of the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region” allows an entrepreneur to receive compensation for 50% of construction costs after the completion of work. The growth in the number of livestock complexes leads to an increase in milk production. So, in the first quarter of this year, farms produced 145 thousand tons of milk, which is almost 4% more than in the same period in 2020, reports IA NewsNN.
As the Minister of Agriculture of the region Nikolay Denisov noted, modern farms are a completely new level of production. In total, 21 new livestock complexes are planned to be commissioned under the state program this year. Four of them are awaiting reconstruction, and 17 will be built from scratch.
Recall that the Russian government has softened the terms of repayment of preferential investment loans for farmers who suffered losses in 2020 due to swine fever or bird flu. This resolution was approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. We are talking about investment loans at a rate of up to 5%, which are issued for the development of animal husbandry. This decision will support agricultural companies affected by African plague and bird flu and help them complete investment projects, as well as ensure uninterrupted food supplies to the market.
