Merkel named the main reason for the rapid increase in the number of new infections: “The jump in diseases has occurred due to travel on vacation,” reports Bild. The politician warned residents to stop traveling this year. Last weekend, Merkel again called on everyone in the country to refrain from travel and limit social contacts. “Now it is extremely important for all of us to reduce the number of social contacts.
