The head of Cherepovets, Margarita Guseva, contracted coronavirus. This was reported on the website of the city hall on Tuesday, September 29.
According to Guseva, her temperature rose, she decided to take the test. It was positive, but the virus concentration is low. Now she feels fine, she has no fever, no runny nose, no shortness of breath.
It is still difficult to determine the source of infection. Guseva has three schoolchildren who travel by public transport, so she cannot completely distance herself from social contacts. However, she stated that she is rarely in crowded places and always uses a mask.
After the detection of the virus, the mayor went into self-isolation and will work remotely for the next two weeks.
On September 28, the governor of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko, infected with a coronavirus, was hospitalized with pneumonia. His illness became known on September 22, he was treated at home.
