Russian fighter Zabit Magomedsharipov appealed to the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) on August 6 with a demand to organize his promised title fight.
“Hey UFC, stop playing games with me! Give me a title shot! How long can you wait until you do what you promised? ” – wrote Magomedsharipov on his Instagram.
According to him, in the spring, the UFC changed three or four opponents for him within a month, as a result, none of the fights took place. Magomedsharipov noted that he agreed to a fight in August with the Mexican Yair Rodriguez, “so as not to stand idle,” but the organization “again began to invent games.”
The Russian athlete stated that he deserved to fight for the title and expressed confidence in his victory.
Magomedsharipov will fight in featherweight with Rodriguez on August 29. According to the manager of the Russian fighter, the winner of this fight will fight for the title.
Now the 29-year-old Russian has 18 victories and one defeat.
