Soloists of the Lugansk Academic Philharmonic Society presented on April 18 a concert program “I want to be your music …” in memory of the famous opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky.
The press service of the Philharmonic said that the concert began with an archive video of the famous baritone’s performance. Memories of Hvorostovsky continued with works from his repertoire performed by the philharmonic artists Ruslan Logvinenko and Sofia Tikha.
The vocalists, accompanied by Nina Gromova, presented excerpts from operas by Rimsky-Korsakov, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, as well as romances and modern compositions. Dance support to the artists was provided by the dance ensemble “Rondo”.
At the culmination of the evening of memory, the composition of Albioni and Giazzotto Adagio was performed by a duet performed by Tikha and Logvinenko, which was presented as a vocal and choreographic performance of the soloists of the Philharmonic Society and dancers “Rondo”.
Let us recall that recently the female instrumental trio of the Luhansk Philharmonic Society received recognition at the Eurasia performing arts competition.
