The Lebanese Prime Minister addressed the protesters who took to the streets of the country’s capital, Beirut. He suggested holding early parliamentary elections to overcome the crisis.
According to him, he will make a proposal to hold early elections at the next meeting of the cabinet.
He also explained why there was that monstrous explosion in the port of Beirut, which served as the starting point for Saturday’s protests.
According to him, it happened due to corruption in Lebanon, reports the AL-Mayadeen TV channel.
According to the latest data, a powerful explosion that thundered on August 4 in the port of Beirut caused the death of at least 158 people. More than 6 thousand were injured.
Riots broke out in central Beirut on Saturday. Residents are dissatisfied with the actions of the Lebanese authorities. In their opinion, they are to blame not only for the explosion, but also for the difficult situation in the country’s economy.
