Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that only the West can force Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements. The minister stressed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky must fulfill what his predecessor Petro Poroshenko and he himself signed in December 2019 during the Normandy summit in Paris.

At the same time, Lavrov noted that the West does not put pressure on Kiev, but patronizes it. In particular, there is no desire to force Zelensky to comply with the Minsk agreements.

Recall that within the framework of the agreements reached in 2014 and refined in 2015, the DR and LPR should cease to exist, and their territory will return under the control of the Ukrainian authorities. As part of Ukraine, they will receive broad autonomy.
