The head of the Kiev delegation to the trilateral contact group in Minsk, Leonid Kravchuk, said in an interview with Strana.UA that Ukraine does not object to the special status given to the regions of Donbass not controlled by Kiev.

“Those districts differ significantly from Lvov, Ivano-Frankovsk. A special management system is required there,” Kravchuk said, adding that until Ukraine understands this, there will be no progress.

In addition, he explained why in Ukraine this kind of rejection was caused by the statement of the deputy head of the Kiev delegation in the contact group Vitold Fokin that “the adoption of a special status for Donbass cannot but lead to peace.”

According to Kravchuk, the special status of Donbass “is not registered.” He noted that we should talk about certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions (CADLO), and Donbass is a broad concept.

In addition, Kravchuk called for amnesty for everyone, except for those who have “blood on their hands.”
