The Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergei Sitnikov raised the issue of how to improve the work of the center for social payments. The problems in this area are obvious: Kostroma residents constantly complain about the slow consideration of applications for the appointment of social benefits – this was especially noticeable this summer, when parents for a long time could not get the “presidential payments” for their children due to them.
In response to the remark of the head of the region, the director of the department for labor and social protection of the population Elena Zhurina said that now the situation has improved: the time that residents of the region spend waiting for the registration of social benefits has significantly decreased compared to 2020.
True, this result was achieved due to the fact that the specialists of the center for social payments (of whom, by the way, there are more) work, much more ordinary officials – including on weekends.
However, this answer did not suit the governor. He took a deeper look at the problem: “It is necessary … to look at the decision-making algorithms, used technical and technological solutions. … This process should be fully automated. … I also ask you to understand the conditions for organizing the work of specialists of the center for social benefits. The volume of work has grown significantly, the number of specialists has also grown, so a decision must be made to expand the center, or to move to a new building “, – Sergei Sitnikov set this task to the digital development department of the regional administration.
