Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin calls not to hold a meeting of the Normandy Four in Donbas. The diplomat does not like Moscow’s proposal, he sees a catch in it. He shared his concerns on Facebook.

Klimkin believes that this meeting “legalizes” the process of obtaining Russian passports by residents of the DPR and LPR. And then, the diplomat believes, all the Minsk agreements become meaningless. He called on the United States and Western European countries to quickly develop a new strategy for the Donbass. And decide everything over the head of Russia.

Klimkin believes that now is the right time for Ukraine to declare itself. Against the backdrop of sanctions and the expulsion of diplomats, this could work, he said. Otherwise, Kiev will be on the outskirts of diplomacy. And no one will reckon with her.
