Ruslan Abdo, a friend of MMA veteran Sergei Kharitonov, spoke about the prerequisites for the conflict with UFC fighter Adam Yandiev.
“There was nothing special. Perhaps he (Yandiev – Ed.) Did not like something. Not that we discussed him – we expressed our point of view about him as a fighter among friends. Perhaps this information reached him. In fact, empty talk – nothing more. And then the whole story, most likely, was invented by him, it is not worth a damn, ”he told Sport-Express.
Abdo also noted that Yandiyev had an object in his hand during the fight.
“And the video with Sergei shows that Adam is shifting something from his right hand to his left. And then, when he hits with his left, in which this object was, it is clear that Sergei felt this blow, ”added Abdo.
The conflict between Kharitonov, Yandiyev and Abdo took place the day before at a mixed martial arts tournament in Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium. According to preliminary data, the cause of the conflict could be a quarrel over debt. As a result of the fight, Kharitonov was seriously injured.
The victims filed a complaint with law enforcement officers. The headquarters of the police in the capital said that a check was being carried out on the fact of the fight, one of its participants was detained.
Yandiev was previously seen in conflicts, including with his colleagues. So, in January 2016, a scandal erupted on the Web between him and MMA fighter Vladimir Mineev. The reason for this was the publication of the latter on Instagram, in which he expressed doubts about Yandiev’s readiness to fight. The UFC fighter, in turn, responded in a harsh manner, which led to a correspondence conflict.
In April 2017, Yandiev had a clash with his enemy in a Moscow restaurant, which escalated into a fight. Then the fighter’s opponent was helped by a group of people armed with a knife. According to REN TV, Yandiev was beaten.
