Russian UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov said that he now ranks first in the consolidated rating of the organization’s fighters.
Khabib wrote about this on his Instagram. According to him, it was his life’s work. He stressed that he was helped by “hard work, hope in Allah and patience.” The “constant supervision and advice of the father” played a role.
In this rating, Nurmagomedov bypassed John Jones.
Earlier, Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight title for the third time at UFC 254. It was held in Abu Dhabi on the night of October 24-25. After defeating Justin Gaethje, the Russian fighter announced that he was ending his career and retiring undefeated. On account of Khabib 29 wins in 29 fights.
He also turned to the head of the UFC Dana White with a request to raise him to the first line of the ranking of the best fighters in the organization.
