Kalmyk boxer became the bronze medalist of the Russian Championship among juniors

Kalmyk athlete Bogdan Ilzitinov won a bronze medal at the Russian boxing championship among juniors and will receive 125 thousand prize money.

The Russian boxing championship among boys aged 19-22 is being held in the city of Serpukhovo near Moscow. More than 220 strongest boxers from 53 constituent entities of the country participate in the tournament. The prize fund of the championship is 17.5 million rubles. The winners will receive 350 thousand rubles each and a car, silver medalists – 250 thousand each, and bronze medalists – 125 thousand rubles each.

Kalm State University student Bogdan Ilzitinov, a graduate of coach Basang Nimgirov from the Republican Olympic Reserve Sports School in Boxing named after Tseren Balzanov, took third place in the weight category up to 52 kilograms. In addition to a diploma and a bronze medal, the boxer will be awarded 125 thousand rubles in prize money.
