The Japanese Defense Ministry said the DPRK had allegedly launched a ballistic missile, NHK TV reported on Thursday, March 25.

According to the military department, the rocket was launched from North Korea at 07.06 local time (01.06 Moscow time).

“The missile fell outside the exclusive economic zone of Japan, there is no influence for the country,” the message says.

From the territory of the DPRK on March 21, two missile launches were carried out, which were not ballistic.

On March 23, The Washington Post reported that North Korea tested short-range missiles last week. The publication noted that these tests represent “the first direct challenge of the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, to President Biden.”

In turn, the United States stated that it is aware of “military activities on the part of the DPRK, which are not permitted in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council,” and noted that Washington considers Pyongyang’s missile launches to be “normal military activity.”

On March 24, the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff (KNS) of South Korea confirmed that Pyongyang had conducted a test launch of two cruise missiles last Sunday.
