At least five people died in Tropical Storm Isaias that swept the US east coast on Tuesday, and hundreds of thousands of people were still without power as of Wednesday morning.

After making landfall in North Carolina as a Category 1 hurricane on Monday night, Isaias then weakened into a tropical storm and moved up the US Atlantic coast.
Downgraded to a post-tropical depression late Tuesday evening, it has now reached Canada where it is expected to dissipate on Thursday, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
A tornado devastated a mobile home in North Carolina, killing two people, state Governor Roy Cooper said. Two other people were killed by falling trees on their vehicle, one in New York and the other in Maryland.
In Delaware, an 80-year-old was found dead under a large tree branch near her home.
About three million people were still affected by power outages Wednesday morning, including in the states of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, according to the poweroutage.us site.
