The ex-head of the investigative-operational group of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, Pyotr Triboi, who was investigating the murder of journalist Vladislav Listyev, has died. This was announced by the deputy Alexander Khinshtein on Twitter.
According to Khinshtein, Triboy was a man of “amazing purity.”
“My friend Pyotr Triboy, once one of the most principled investigators of the Prosecutor General’s Office, who investigated many high-profile cases, including the murder of V. Listyev, died,” the deputy wrote.
Petr Triboi was investigating 38-year-old journalist Vladislav Listyev, who was shot dead in the entrance of his own house in 1995, in 1996-2000. It has not yet been possible to find those responsible for his death.
