Infectious disease doctors spoke about the phenomenon due to the coronavirus, reminiscent of the inflammatory syndrome MIS-A.
Coronavirus infection leads to malfunctioning of the immune system and makes the body extremely vulnerable. Doctors talked about this in more detail in an interview with RBC.
– It is difficult to talk about all the mechanisms of development of the multisystem inflammatory syndrome MIS-A, but there is a failure in immunity when it begins to attack the body’s own cells, – explained the infectious disease specialist Valery Beznosenko. – So far it is impossible to say which of the patients with coronavirus is at risk.
His colleague Nikolai Malyshev noted that the coronavirus has “hidden” many surprises and various complications.
We will remind, earlier in several adult patients who had recovered from COVID-19, acute inflammatory syndrome was found. Previously, such a diagnosis was made only to children.
