The northern snow landfill in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was closed due to the fact that it is overcrowded. It will take several days for public utilities to clear the rubble and compact them. This was told in the mayor’s office of the island capital.
So, the city landfill will stop receiving snow at 8 am on March 5. The technique will start working on it. They plan to finish it by March 9th. At the same time, the southern landfill is still working as usual and continues to receive snow. Both are free.
Earlier, MK on Sakhalin said that an avalanche with a volume of 500 cubic meters descended on the road in the Nevelsky district near the village of Gornozavodsk, with a volume of 25 cubic meters dangerous for humans. A front-end loader and auger rotor were brought in to eliminate the snow blockages.
And before that, riders on Iturup provoked a serious avalanche. They lost their gear in the snow.
