In Glazov (Udmurtia), a check is being conducted on the death of two women from hypothermia at home. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the ICR in the republic.

According to the ministry, on the afternoon of February 11, the bodies of a 95-year-old woman and her 69-year-old daughter were found in the entryway of the house. There are no visible traces of violent death on them, writes udm-info.ru.

As it turned out, on February 10, the women celebrated the birthday of the youngest of them and drank alcohol. They fell asleep in the entryway. Hypothermia is the likely cause of death.

On the fact of the incident, a check is carried out, based on the results of which a decision will be made to initiate a criminal case.

In January, during severe frosts in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, numerous cases of frostbite were recorded. During the period when very cold weather was established in the region, and until January 11, almost 490 people sought medical help. 13 people died.
