The investigative department of the FSB in the Saratov region is investigating two criminal cases under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Public calls to carry out extremist activities”, relating to crimes of average gravity. This is punishable by punishment in the form of forced labor for up to five years with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years or without such, or imprisonment for up to five years with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Security Service.
Criminal cases were initiated by security officers against two residents of the Dergachevsky district of the Saratov region. As it was said in the message “as a result of the implemented complex of operational-search measures, the facts were documented that the indicated persons in the Internet messenger“ WhatsApp ”in a public group posted voice and text messages calling for the implementation of extremist activities against representatives of one of the nationalities”.
Now the persons under investigation are under recognizance not to leave.
