Instead of 555 million, only 180 will be allocated for the construction of an interchange on Strelka. This decision was made by the Saratov administration. It was announced on February 26 at the next, 84th meeting of the city duma by the chairman of the finance committee Alexander Strukov. During the discussion of the 2021 budget, he said that the treasury will receive almost 4 billion rubles, and of which half a billion will be spent on restoring destroyed sidewalks, 100 million will go to buy new public electric transport and maintain existing trolleybuses and trams. For these purposes, annually, at least for the next two years, 122 million rubles will be allocated from the city budget.

A public garden will be laid in the Izumrudny microdistrict, 40 million rubles have been allocated for this. 1.5 million were allocated for the improvement of the Cosmonauts Embankment. 10 million rubles will be spent on the maintenance of roads, 40 million for the operation of schools. The budget also mentions the municipalities recently annexed to Saratov – in particular, in the village of Khmelevsky a well with water will be repaired for 2.5 million rubles.

The largest expenditures – over 3 billion rubles – will be used to relocate citizens from dilapidated and dilapidated houses.

The deputies asked Strukov about the cost reduction for the construction of an intersection on Strelka, what caused such a significant reduction in spending.

“We justified, laid down. The scope of work has changed or what?” – asked the deputy Maxim Samsonov.

Strukov replied that the design and estimate documentation was not ready. It is still in development.
