In Moscow, the checkpoints of the PickPoint online order delivery service were attacked by unknown hackers. This was announced on Saturday, December 5, on the company’s website.

On Friday, reports began to appear that the doors of PickPoint checkpoints began to open automatically.

“There was a failure in the operation of the checkpoint network. The reason for this incident was a cyber attack by unidentified persons on providers providing Internet access for checkpoints, ”the message says.

The company announced that it has created a “Rapid Response Headquarters”. All recipients whose orders were in the checkpoints during the incident were notified personally. In addition, the headquarters developed a set of measures for the fastest and most convenient receipt of parcels that were at that time in postomats.

PickPoint also added that they take responsibility for meeting the interests of users and will provide a personal transparent solution for each request.

On November 16, the Japanese video game developer and publisher Capcom was hacked, as a result of which about 350 thousand users’ personal data were stolen.
