The 300 million lei provided by the government helped the drought-stricken farmers to lay the foundations for the future harvest. Agriculture Minister Ion Perju said that over 300 thousand hectares were sown with autumn crops.

“Autumn sowing is at a very good level, even in comparison with last year. Some farmers are still sowing, as there were rains throughout the republic. A lot of fields are already looking good. Agricultural producers note that the moisture has reached a depth of 70 cm. This autumn is very good for the agricultural sector, ”the minister said.

The fund of subventions in agriculture this year reached the level of 1.2 billion lei for the first time. Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 324 million lei to compensate those who suffered from the drought. The amount of aid reached 3 thousand lei per hectare.
