The day before, a multi-ton boulder fell on the 81-year-old fisherman. The tragedy happened in front of the local residents: the piece of rock was so large that they could not pull the man out on their own.
A wounded man was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Kamyshin Central City Hospital the night before. The doctors did their best to help the elderly reed man, but they failed to save him.
The cause of death was squeezing of organs. This was told by Vladislav Chernyshev, acting head of the Investigation Department for the city of Kamyshin of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Volgograd Region.
“A boulder fell off the steep bank of the Volga, at that time a pensioner was fishing nearby,” writes Volgogradskaya Pravda.ru. – The tragedy happened in the Black Ridge area. It was witnessed by other fishermen, who called an ambulance and emergency rescue service.
They could not help the victim on their own: they had to lift a huge boulder with metal pipes. Now experts are interviewing witnesses of the incident.
