In the Tyulyachinsky district of Tatarstan, a little brother and sister survived an accident due to the fact that they were fastened in car seats, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan told Tatar-inform news agency.
The driver of the Renault SUV lost control on a slippery track in the Tyulyachinsky district. The car flew off the road and got stuck in deep snow. The driver’s wife and two children were in the car – a girl of five and a boy of three. Children were in car seats, which saved them from severe injuries.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Tatarstan remind that long-term observations have shown that the use of child restraints in transport reduced mortality among children by 54 percent, injuries – by 76 percent, and serious injuries – by 92 percent.
