A criminal case under the article “Negligence” was opened by the investigative authorities of the Altai Territory due to the failure to provide orphans with housing, for which 1.2 billion rubles were allocated from the federal and regional budgets.
According to the investigation, in 2020 in the region, the number of orphans in need of housing exceeded 5 thousand people.
The officials of the regional housing administration and the ministry of construction and housing and communal services of the region were supposed to provide the children with housing.
“Despite the subsidies allocated by the state, until now people in need of housing have not received the premises they are entitled to, and the amount of funds used by officials amounted to about 49 million rubles, that is, only 4% of funding,” October.
The department noted that by their inaction the officials violated the constitutional rights of orphans. At present, investigative measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
On the eve of the Ministry of Education of the Moscow Region, it was reported that 560 orphans had been provided with housing in the region since the beginning of the year. A total of 786 people will receive apartments.
