Grishin, suspected of deliberate bankruptcy, does not work at Moscow State University

Alexey Grishin, who was detained in Mordovia on August 5 on suspicion of premeditated bankruptcy, has not worked at Moscow State University since July 28, TASS reports, citing a source familiar with the situation.

Grishin is a co-founder of Invest-Alliance LLC, which includes SDS-Construction Management LLC, he was detained as part of a criminal investigation under Art. 196 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Intentional bankruptcy”).

The suspect was taken to Saransk, the investigation plans to apply to the court with a petition to choose a preventive measure.

Searches were carried out at Grishin’s place of residence in the Krasnogorsk district of the Moscow region, as well as in his apartment in Moscow and in his office. Seized money, jewelry, financial documents and other items of evidentiary value for a criminal case.

The REN TV channel reported that Grishin is the vice-rector of the Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov (Moscow State University) on general issues and the former head of the Ministry of Construction in the Samara region.

According to the investigation, by January 2018, SDS-Construction Management had more than 180 million rubles in payables. The management of the organization, with the aim of deliberate bankruptcy and the extraction of personal benefits on fictitious grounds, entered into an assignment agreement, according to which another company received the right to claim the previously formed debt from LLC Mordovdevelopment in the amount of over 865 million rubles.
