Greece extends entry permit for 500 Russians per week until February 22

The Greek authorities have extended until February 22 the permit to enter the country up to 500 Russians a week, according to the government gazette published on Saturday, February 6.

“[Решение] will be extended from February 8, 2021 to 06:00 (07:00 Moscow time) on February 22, 2021, ”the joint inter-ministerial decision says.

Russian tourists must have a certificate of a negative test for coronavirus infection, taken by the PCR method up to 72 hours before arrival, a hotel voucher or other documents that indicate their temporary residence in the country.

In addition, tourists are required to fill out an electronic PLF (Passenger Locator Form) and provide their contact information in Greece, as well as be prepared for a seven-day quarantine upon arrival.

Greece has allowed entry of up to 500 Russians per week since September 7. The decision was extended several times, the last time until February 8.

On January 28, the operational headquarters for the control and monitoring of the situation with the coronavirus said that Russia will resume flights with Greece from February 8. Flights Moscow-Athens will be operated two flights per week.
